Aims and scope
Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine is a peer reviewed open access journal of research and practice in psychosocial, behavioral, and biomedical health. It is the official journal of the European Health Psychology Society.
The primary focus of the journal is to provide access to essential new research for those involved in the study, teaching, or application of behavioral, psychological, social, and biological aspects of health and illness.
Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine publishes international, interdisciplinary research with diverse methodological approaches on the following topics:
Assessment and diagnosis
Narratives, experiences, and discourses of health and illness
Treatment processes and recovery
Health cognitions and behaviors at population and individual levels
Psychosocial and behavioral prevention interventions
Psychosocial determinants and consequences of behavior
Social and cultural contexts of health and illness
Health, illness, and medicine
Application of advanced information and communication technology
The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentary.
Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine operates a double-blind peer review policy with a minimum of two peer reviewers for every article.
All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
