So far, we cooperated with the organizers of many workshops, including events handled in conjunction with ICRA, RO-MAN, HRI conferences. In such case we expect a fully revised paper, extended by a minimum of 60% in case its original version was previously published in the conference proceedings. Appropriate authors’ statements should be included in an article, according to directions provided in the Authors’ Statements and Data Sharing Policy documents available in the Supplementary Materials section below.

Paladyn, Journal of Behavioral Robotics is a fully peer-reviewed, open access, electronic-only journal that publishes original, high-quality research on topics broadly related to neuronally and psychologically inspired robots and other behaving autonomous systems. The journal provides the readers with free, instant, and permanent access to all content worldwide; and the authors with extensive promotion of published articles, long-term preservation, no space constraints, and quick publication upon the acceptance.

Paladyn, Journal of Behavioral Robotics is indexed by SCOPUS. Our standard policy requires each paper to be reviewed by at least two Referees and the peer-review process is single-blind.

Since 2020 Paladyn, Journal of Behavioral Robotics is subject to an Article Processing Charge. The standard APC amounts to €1000. However, covering this fee is not mandatory and depends on authors’ financial ability. The Journal offers extensive DISCOUNT and WAIVER policy, so we strongly encourage the authors to contact us and discuss their willingness to cover the APC (or part of it). There are no submission charges – Article Processing Charges apply after the acceptance of a manuscript. For more details please refer to Article Processing Charges document (in PDF).

All inquiries concerning Article Processing Charges should be addressed (before or immediately after submitting a paper) to the Editorial Office at paladyn@degruyter.com.

The aim of Paladyn is to become a premier source of knowledge and a worldwide-recognized platform of exchange for scientists of different disciplinary origins and backgrounds (e.g., engineers, computer scientists, physicists, neuroscientists, psychologists, sociologists) who are inspired by the analogy between robotic autonomy and human behaviour.

The journal considers submissions of different types of articles. "Research Articles" are focused on fundamental theoretical aspects, as well as on significant applications in science, engineering etc. “Rapid Communications” are intended to present information of exceptional novelty and exciting results of significant interest to the readers. “Review articles” and “Commentaries”, which present the existing literature on the specific topic from new perspectives, are welcome as well.
