Prion publishes international gold open access research on protein folding and misfolding, protein assembly disorders and protein structural inheritance.

Prion aims to foster communication and rapid exchange of information through timely publication of important results using traditional as well as electronic formats.

The journal publishes research articles, short communications, profile and legacies, commentaries, reviews, technical reports, case studies, extra views and letters to the editor.

Prion operates a single-blind peer review policy. All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
